Amanda Siebert (@amanda_siebert) is an author and freelance multimedia journalist focusing on the intersections of culture, science, and health in cannabis and psychedelic spaces, with bylines in The New York Times, Forbes, Vice and more.


Amanda Siebert is a Canadian author and award-winning journalist. In 2018, she wrote The Little Book of Cannabis: How Marijuana Can Improve Your Life, the bestselling nonfiction book about cannabis in Canada as of early 2019. Her second book, Psyched: Seven Cutting Edge Psychedelics Changing the World published this month (October 2022). Siebert is a former cannabis columnist for The Georgia Straight, and shared the Canadian Association of Journalists' Don McGillivray Award, given for the "top investigative journalism completed by Canadian media," with Travis Lupick for their 2016 multimedia story about fentanyl overdoses in Vancouver. Her byline has appeared in The New York Times, Forbes, Vice, and others.
